You make our church into a forceful one, Rayner, in your actions. You claim that "actions will be necessary" if Ragarn refuses to bear our mark on his walls. What, are we to burn down his store and mansion if he refuses? Tie him up and brand Sa's mark upon him? You ask us to force faith, and that is not possible. When we're done with him, will we do the same with the other merchants? Find ways they use magick, and with each new way we force them to wear His mark? Eventually, would you have the town run by Sa, simply because the arches in the center of town square have a slight trickle of magick flowing through them?

Sa has given us all a gift to use. If it was being used unproperly, He would take it away. He knows how Ragarn is using it, and doesn't stop him. It is thus not our place to do so. Beyond which, do you expect for the Saian temple to begin our own magick store? It is illogical to do what you have suggested, as we don't have the funds to even begin this project. And if Ragarn does go out of business, if you are successful in making him close down his store if or when he refuses, what will we do until we are able to begin this project? Will the young ones unable to cast runes, unlearned enough to weave the spells you have mastered, and not with enough money to buy the more powerful ones, thus be left to deal without the service that Ragarn provides? You would have all upset with Sa's temple for going out with this plan, if Ragarn does refuse.

It is not our place to force our mark onto anyone, or into anywhere. It cannot be placed unwillingly and ever hope to stay there or have any effect.

Moreover, you act and speak without the permission of the temple to do so to Ragarn, stating you are the words of us without the temple supporting you. There was no formal decision, and to claim to speak for all of us is a false claim. You may wish to remember that before going off on your little conquest.
