To those people who believe this is the case I want to say this, you make me sick. You try living in a country where the man running it kills more of his own people during his reign than anyone except Hitler and have the world sit by and watch while doing nothing, then tell me that you give a fu*k what reason is given to a country's people in order to get their military to come save your a$$. You are just pissed off that people lied to you, all the while you are living a lie yourself. The death toll in Iraqi war is over 650,000 on their side, many hundreds of thousands (400-500k depending on who's estimates you check) are Shia, Kurd, or Marsh Arab killed by Saddam Hussein's troops in attempts to suppress rebellion. The United States has lost a total of 3,952 men and women in our armed forces. Less than 4000 losses to free a people, I say it is well worth it. War is the only thing that solves anything, as sh1tty as that fact is. Everything else is just a pathetic debate that never gets resolution. War is horrible, but it is a necessary evil if you wish to allow others the same chances for freedom as you enjoy. You are a hypocrite if you think that you deserve to be free because of our military and anyone else in the world should be denied that.

But you're not biased AT ALL! ;) And, just to play the devil's advocate, ya know that uh, yeah, right, we do live in a country which is run by a man who is killing his own people. :b The numbers differ, the methods differ, but people still end up dying unnecessarily. Granted, it's all ultimately very subjective, so arguing the point ends up being rather pointless but I'm not sure if that's just because I'm in a nihilistic mood at the moment. And if it's not because of that, well, I'm always down for arguing for/against pointless stances. It warms my soul! :D

As for political candidates, I can't honestly say I've been paying much attention. I need to start watching them all now that the primaries are drawing to a close, but none of them are jumping out of me. And while I'll likely only vote party-line (unless McCain gives me some razzle dazzle), I'm severely tempted to vote for Stephen Colbert. Hooray for worthless votes!! Ain't like there are worthy candidates....but again, with the nihilistic mood. :b

Okay, I'm done. Rejoice!
