I say we shut down atleast 65% of our armed forces, and set that money aside for private defense contractors for the following reasons:

-They already get all the REAL work done anyways.
-If they die, not only does no one protest/become outraged/cry and scream on TV(since it's a business proposition the dead took of thier own free will, and didn't sacrifice thier life for anybody or any BS cause), but our goverment is only out the the upfront deposit amount, since the contract probably wasn't completed; as opposed to being out the cost of training, equipment, poltics, etc for regular soldiers.
-No more tired "support our troops" political crap, or goofy looking yellow ribbons.
-Private Contractors aren't held accountable to the Geneva Convention, and as a goverment we can deny knowledge of whatever tactics to get the job done. This beats the snot out of regular soldiers, since they end up breaking the Geneva Convention anyways and we end up taking the global heat for it.
-AND the most important reason of all! I persoally just like soldiers of fortune more than regulars soldiers. It's been my personal experience that soldiers of fortune are much much less delusional about the ethical/moral/human/greater good necessity BS of why they are fighting. They generally realize that any war is motivated by someone's greed, and that's fine and dandy considering they are fighting for thier own greed anyways. This is generally MUCH better than regular soldiers since it means I don't have to listen to some self righteous BS speech while we're drinking, and soldiers of fortune can afford to buy thier own drinks.
