"There IS good and bad in Wal-Mart, but the good is NOT directed at the employees."

That is true for the most part. The only exception is they pay the workers at the distribution centers well and they have good benefits. The distribution centers are ran like another company more or less, but that group at the most represents 25% of Wal-Marts employees.

They are such jerks that if you already work, or recently worked at a store location they will not consider you for hire at a distribution center to keep employees from fleeing the crappy store jobs for the better distribution center jobs.

I'm only aware of this since they recently built one near by and it was a pretty big deal for a small town to suddenly have an extra 600 well paying jobs along with an unknown number of local truck drivers being employed by Crete who day trips produce for Wal-mart.
