In two weeks I'll be 24. I was once a head chef and a very popular Japanese restuarant back in the states. I worked two full time jobs to put my then girlfriend through college.

Granted the food industry is a lot different from you office types, but its true that a good work ethic is really hard to come by. I would hire people from all sorts of age groups and still had a hard time finding people who could be on time, be willing to listen to orders, and here's the part that drives me nuts, THINK for themselves.

I started working during highschool doing all sorts of jobs. I never had anything really handed to me and I've always appreciated what I've worked hard for. Most people my age don't really feel the same way and thats fine, but having good trade skills and strong work habits will get you around the world whereas a BA will only get you debt.

In one year I see myself in China, in five years I'll be in South America. In between those times, Europe and Africa. At some point later on in the States.

Basically Haberthan, stick to your guns and you'll find what you're looking for eventually.
