Oh, Atlas Shrugged. Awesome book! It really re-shaped how I view things in life and about myself and others. I think there's a lot of validity in what Rand has to say. That's not to say her philosophy is entirely correct or anything like that, but for me, it was a refreshing view to be exposed to. I mean, it seems that everywhere you look, in philosophy and in religion, people are like, give to the needy, give to the poor. It was refreshing for someone to be like, screw the poor! :p A slight exaggeration of her philosophy, I think, but nonetheless. I'm on my second read-through right now and already 1/3 done. I've also read The Fountainhead (which I think is more just a watered-down version of Atlas Shrugged), still trying to read The Virtue of Selfishness, and read Anthem. They're all decent books and they definitely provoke some thought.

I'm all for doing in-depth discussion of her works and it's a shame most of the people I know have never read it. :(
