Heh, yeah, you already linked to that video in another thread. The average lefty protester is pretty much on par with the average rightwing talk show caller or blog commenter. No surprise there.

I'm actually more interested in the political aspects of the CUFI video. If Hagee's crowd weren't into politics, their beliefs really wouldn't have much relevance to me. I find it very disturbing that this conference was attended by Tom Delay (former congressional majority leader), Ken Mehlman (chairman of the republican national committee and Bush's campaign manager in 2004), and other major GOP movers and shakers. I really don't want our foreign policy to be influenced by people who are actively wishing for armageddon because of their nutty religious beliefs.

Naturally, I think attacking Iran would be a blunder of colossal proportions - quite likely more disastrous than attacking Iraq. As I'm sure you know, our intelligence community is firmly of the view that Iran isn't pursuing nuclear weaponry.
