Admittedly, Joel, the use of common sense (as I understand the concept anyhow) means that it a) would be easily comprehensible and/or b) redundant to mention. If your position on wages is, in fact, common sense, I have to question your vocabulary usage, because I got lost in your argument. Followed it up until you started talking about the relation between minimum wage and the basic living wage. Erik, on the other hand, gave me a much more common sense answer to the difference, but if his meaning is yours, then doesn't it defeat your argument?

Also, common sense is all well and good but if there's one thing I've learned, both in philosophy and physics, is that common sense can often times be serious flawed and inaccurate. Which, of course, I'm sure you knew, but well, I'm tired, so deal. But it does cause your "lesson" to be suspect. Now I must return to my search for the MW or the BLW or whatever arbitrary terminology you wish to apply to it!
