I haven't heard any negative comments come from Obama's campaign about Joe, just from the media. Also from watching the last debate it seemed like McCain was invoking Joe more than anyone else. In an interview I heard a clip of on NPR with Joe he stated that he is no where near from even buying the company and said company has 2 employees, the owner and Joe. And the jab in the ribs is correct, I've only had to use 1040 forms for tax filing purposes, and have only ever received a refund since I'm still finishing up school and can't get a good paying full time job yet. Wait what am I saying, I want to be a teacher, I'll never have a good paying job.

As for the media, I'd say a good 90% of the press are the dregs of society and the human equivalent of vultures. I don't even watch the news anymore because they hardly ever show anything relevant, especially local news ::shivers:: It's as if their strategy is to have an ambiguous tag line for something that might be a danger to: you, your livelihood, or your family, and talk about it all throughout the other news to keep people watching the other BS they show. I love freedom of the press, but I'd love to see freedom for the accosted interviewee to punch the paparazzi-esque reporter in the nose. Viva Sean Penn!

and I take no offense to the jab, growing up with a family as sarcastic as mine thin skin would've made me turn out emo, even the thought of that sickens me

edit: Just wanted to add that McCain apologized to Joe on Letterman for all the attention he's received, pretty nice thing to do
