Kagee strangely enough I agree with everything you said. I had kaiser insurance too. My father is a union iron worker in California. I suffered a lung infection when I was about 16 or so. Waiting for two and a half hours trying to see a doctor while coughing up blood and mucus is not really how I wanted to spend my morning.

When I said that I'd seen national healthcare first hand in other countries I meant it. Two years ago I got hit by a motorcycle and broke my foot. I was all scabby and road rash everywhere but about a half hour after I arrived at the hospital I was on my way with after care instructions. All for less than ten dollars. And one month ago I had to go to the emergency room for stitches and a ruptured tendon in my left hand. Typhoon accident. Heh. I was treated on the spot and sent on my way. Now granted, programs that exist now in the states are pretty messed up, but it doesn't mean that they can't IMPROVE. That's why I said look to the ways that other countries run their programs and if possible, adapt. Just because it's not the "American way" doesn't mean it's not better.

And truthfully most people in my age group really are idiots polictically. They see two candidates right now. An old war monger with a gun toting abortion abolisher and a younger more charismatic man "of the new generation". Or something. I don't really share the same views. I know so many people my age who are blinding voting Obama just because he's NOT republican. The only real political discussions that I even have anymore are with ex-pats from different countries. One thing that seems to just drive these people crazy is why few Americans actually vote.

Bah. I was going somewhere with this but I lost it.

Vote Ron Paul!
