Gentle folk, where to start?
Bravely begun but hopeless, considering the foe they faced, a group of my kin was slaughtered by Rylek, of all people, up in the trees of this city. I could see the confusion on Meera's face. Why would Rylek kill Leuians in Treehaven? Perhaps I should bring their deaths to other Leuians for resolution, for they did nothing to provoke the attack, nor was any reason given for the attack and deaths.
Later, my own hunting group was attacked without cause or provocation by an ugly Hithual, who smited Tymas just like the Hithual also smited me a few weeks ago, for apparently no reason other then his twisted diety demanded he anty up more gold for future smitings. Meera, died yet again, as did Aktavian, again.
My kin and I have died for this fair city in the last few weeks defending it ... against hoards of Taathians bent on death. And for what reason is this beautiful city constantly attacked? No one can rightly say .... for if the Taathians have ever spoken as they smite us dead with Taath's gift of instant death, their words have numbered less then a hand full.
I read Galen's warning here and wonder what Taathian was whispering into his ear and for what purpose? Do the Taathians need a purpose? ... I seriously doubt it. Now they have redoubled their effort to wipe Treehaven clean of all living inhabitants, for absolutely no reason.
I volunteer to transport any Treehaven citizen free of Treehaven when next the Taathians raid again. I will try to contact you if I have seen you, with my mind. Please have a spot in mind past the ferry, if you wish to avoid further death penalties.
There is no dishonor in running from an unfair fight.
