As a Lord of Spur and former editor of the Dragon's Fire Chronicle, I am putting up 100 GOLD for the best limerick. This year's theme is to write limericks as a tribute to one of your favorite Spurians. Ye can post them here or send them to me to post without publicly stated name.
Limericks are an old Hithual invention. Ye write two long lines that rhyme, two short lines that rhyme, and a long line that rhymes with the first two. And its funny.
There once was a Hith named Merant
Whose aim tended to be quite errant.
He threw a dart at the board,
Instead a Thug's rear was gored.
And Merant chose not be so apparent.
All right. That one won't win. Its an example.
After a period of time, I will announce the winner (and I'll be sole judge). I'll pay the 100 gold afterwards in the Rose Eternal Tavern. The runner-up I'll buy an ale for.
